houston should have 100,000,000 tanker jobs around there. just got to cold call and ask drivers.

That would be about a 70 mile commute to the LaPorte-Pasedena area where most of the chemical tank companies are located. May be ok if you did more regional out and back loads. Wouldn't be a home every day local but wouldn't be an everyday commute either. Have Superior-Heniff, Dana, Schneider tank, Service Transport, and many others all down there.

I think Elliot and KAG (Keenan) may be up your way.

Diesel Direct Inc. is seeking qualified full-time Houston, TX area. Diesel Direct is an on-site fleet fueling company with a focus on safety and customer service. Driver duties would include operating Diesel Direct fuel delivery vehicles and making local fleet deliveries. The candidate must be able to drive multiple vehicles safely, follow time schedules and be detail oriented, organized and punctual. Prior fleet fueling experience would be a plus but not required.

There’s a Nexeo Solutions in Conroe. They haul hazmat in a tanker and dry van. I hear they pay upwards of 80k a year. Not sure if they are hiring but it might be worth a look.

However all the chemical companies are in Laporte, TX area. And most of them want you to go OTR. But the cryogenic companies, fuel haulers, crude oil companies, chemical distribution, LTL and etc are local and regional. But still most of those places you will have to make that drive everyday or every other day for regional. Also some of these companies have inward facing cameras. Dont know if that's a deal breaker. But just be aware that some of the companies have themtruckdriver31 Thanks this. -
You could look into Clean Harbors/Safety Kleen.
