It's sad that we have to remind some people to be polite now days. I just try to remember that I don't know what's going on in their life or what happened 20 minutes ago, so I try to never take it personal. IMO, it never hurts to ask, I mean what are they gonna do say no?
Is it doing too much to ask a yard dog to pull a trailer for you

When I pull for ups during crazy season.
Some places I go to is tight as it is and then add the crazy Impatient Sikhs and you have a #### show. So sometime it’ll be too tight of a spot that would take me a while to get in I politely ask the yard dogs. Last guy in Colorado I asked he got pretty butt hurt about it. Even tho it took him less than 2 minutes. Like come on man if it’s a big deal say no. Give me a reason to drop it anywhere lol.Farmerbob1 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

Also, air ride trailers, if the landing gear is cranked down before the air is disconnected, can lift the kingpin plate a bit.gentleroger Thanks this. -

The largest amount of the time that yard driver wants YOU GONE! They have a lot to do and going around you OR waiting while some student paces off a pivot point peeves them off. If you need help ask them nicely and get out of their way.
