Do any of you guys know of companies directly involved in moving medical supplies? I want to help move medical supplies to areas that have been seriously affected by the virus.

If you have your own authority, check with FEMA. If you're looking to lease to a carrier, it would most likely be a refrigerated carrier that has authority to haul pharmaceuticals.

Most of that stuff is team freight from what I hear. It to valuable to ship with a solo driver. They don't take just anyone that needs a job. I would think they have all the trucks and driver they need for that already. They are worried about stuff getting stolen so they probably won't be advertising who the use to move the stuff.

You can show up at McKesson in Memphis and write down the door numbers of the tractors that come and go.

Google them and write a letter to them.

You will need to learn new behaviors with Pharmacy. Never go near McKesson without everything sorted, in order and FULL FUEL. As well as all your *&^% in order as in food etc. Because once you hook on, you aint stopping for 300 miles or ideally straight through.

And you will learn to answer Ive got air when asked what you are loaded with. And say nothing to no one.

There is also a real possibility you will be killed for that truck load of drugs or worse so have your affairs in order so if that did happen, it takes a pair of phone calls. One to funeral home and other to your executor. And your family can deal with the loss without having to overpay or make decisions or get preyed upon.

This stuff is just what I like in trucking. You back into the Detriot McKesson facility for example at sunrise stay in truck, reload with bales back to memphis. (Cardboard waste recycle) as soon you get there. They be waiting on you. You will not be sitting, not be late and you will not stop. Emphasis on stopping. You do not unhook that trailer especially. Its got its own trackers in several layers and woe onto you or anyone who seperates the units.

If you don't know pee bottles learn to use them. Aviation grade with sanitation to keep them properly clean after proper disposal after being empty. You don't stop. If you did stop 5000 people are geolocating you, making preps to call the local law to come out and find you. And so on.

The money takes care of itself.

Its good freight. When done right. Probably the best in trucking. Eliminates ALL of the bellyaching, BS and problems etc.

And pace yourself. You will have weeks where you are sick of the miles that aboundeth in your payroll. Too tired to spend any of it.

Well ,they dont have everything they need or we wouldn't be seeing pics of doctors wearing trash bags. I'm not really in need of a job, I figure I would actually make less than I am now, but weve got 1000 people dying a day and I want to help if I can.

Medical supplies or actually medicine they won't even fill a truck up because the stuff is so valuable. Their is or was a place in the Pocono Mountains in PA that made medicine or the flu vaccine. What ever they made they only shipped half a truck load because the stuff was worth like $300,000 maybe more.

I don't think its a driver shortage or truck shortage but I could be wrong.

For what it's worth, there were thousands of people dying every day, from other illnesses, before this current event. Still are..

Every company moving anything is involved with moving essential things, since pretty much everything else is shut down.

Medical supplies are important, but equally important is food and other supplies for the general population.
