For folks who pull HazMat, and have an APU on your right frame rail, where have you located your pump and compressor for maximum efficiency? I think my only option, given the circumstances (my carrier is supplying the pump and compressor free of charge), will be to ditch the APU. If it's mounted on the left rail, I'll have too much hose that I'll need to carry plus some customers won't allow you to run hose under the truck.

Maybe I run piping from the pump under the truck to the right side? That would leave a lot of rigid pipe to clean after those deliveries.

isnt it possible to just move the apu to the left rail?

how much frame space do you have? Theres an all in one pump/compressor made by hydrachem and it needs about 36" total frame space to mount.

The other option is to get a smaller fuel tank on the right side to make room for the pump/compressor. Do you know what kind your carrier is supplying?

Why not move the APU to the left side of the truck?

I'll investigate what my carrier is supplying. APUs aren't generally on the left rail due to noise transfer into the sleeper. I'm wondering about the hassle factor of running pipe under the truck so it exits right at the APU.

Mount the pump inside the right frame rail and the compressor on left side..

Then pipe the pump wherever you have to

Any room behind the sleeper across the top of the frame rails...?

Like a tool box would be mounted.......

Hyd and the oil cooler would be on a rack behind the sleeper on the left side. Unfortunately, that means no room for a hose rack and that's another issue.
