For those of you who have been through the covid-19 ordeal...

Ask a doctor or nurse or read a medical web site or a doctor/nurse web site about this topic. That's where you find medical info. Just my opinion.

 

The danger of Covid is that it disables your red blood cells and destroys your lungs. You go from being healthy to being unable to walk across your bedroom in a few hours once enough damage is reached.

 

One of the more unique symptoms that SOME people get with COVID is the loss of the sense of taste. Poof, gone.

 

Some of it is incorrect.

Some people ... me of course ... had a longer incubation period than 14 days to show symptoms, and others have it as short of 2 days.

Some people don't have any signs, which brings up the problem with testing, why are they not testing people who are not sick yet?

I had four ... cough, fever, headache and metallic taste/loss of smell.

My wife had chest pressure, fever, cough and just metallic taste but still has a sense of smell.

My daughter has every common symptoms from cough to fever to chest pains, and they still told us that she didn't qualify for a test. We had to fight the docs until she was assigned an infectious disease doc when he prescribed tests (initial and followup). She is on a "vent" (bipap machine) with a face mask that has helped her breath when she is sleeping.

Everyone else in the house, well ... they don't have a single sign and have been bored out of their minds.

I am diabetic and have other issues, I don't qualify to be tested. But I was listening to one girl on the radio, she has been tested three times ... she forced the issue because she is scared of being sick.

We should rename the virus to Darth Sidious, because it is SO insidious.

Different incubation periods, varying degrees of symptoms...
It really is the most stealthy virus we have come across.

 

I caught some Bad ### flu the 1st of the year. Took me 7 weeks to kick it and some last minute antibiotics to kick it

 

Yeah, that CDC site is worthless, which is why I went straight to the medical journals.

My 29 year old son had exactly the same symptoms a little over 2 weeks ago. Sick as a dog for a day with heavy cough, fever and difficulty breathing. That night the fever broke, and the next day he woke up as if it never happened. They tested him for covid an he was negative, so it was just the flu. He's been fine since and nobody else in his house or work caught it.
