I just hope all these folks who jumped in during 2018 with no experience or knowledge of the trucking industry whatsoever are the first to go followed by the 1099 Volvo Crowd out of the Chicago area...

Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

That’s a great plan. I have a similar idea. No home owners insurance, cheaply furnished. Tornado or hurricane takes it out, buy another. lol.

Thats one reason we are renters. We have overinsurance that just added earthquake this year. Wipe the place out, get another place start over. Pay me.

When I started in the world in trucking I had one suitcase and a pack of clothes for 7 days plus smokes and money. Thats it.

I can do that again and again and again as I have before. No biggie.

Now if you have built up a mansion and so on and hang on to it after its turned into a pile of sticks after a storm well... you havent done life right. Thats not important. Its bad yes but when you learn that a small home that is happy and easy fix is way better than that mansion then alls well.

You think your immune to this. Get real.
You think these companies that lost work are
Gonna just go home and give up.
    Not gonna happen.

There gonna buy or rent reefer trailers and low
Ball you company out the door.
Whoever has the deepest pockets wins.

At least he is driving balls to the wall. Loaded and rolling. thats matter today Tomorrow will find out then.

Funeral homes are calling around trying to rent reefers for 6000 a month each. Store about 70 dead give or take stacked 4 deep in -20 and reefer fuel delivered by local dealer every two days.

If the trucking company itself is exposed as a rotten edifice and brought down economically by the current covid19 emergency? Fine so be it. There will be other companies better run with more cash on hand that will take up the slack. When this is all over, we will be left with the core group of trucking companies that can do well. The rest would have been scattered by the storm.

    Thats not so bad.

Scared, no. I got plenty of money.
    Home,couple cars,land, rv.
    All paid for in cash.
I'm hoping to get laid off so I can sit home
A couple months and enjoy it.

Every piece of junk 1099 and 3rd world outlaw
Reefer company that goes out of business is
Better for the rest of us.

    Don't worry about me.
Worry about the guy who's been in business 30
Years, and with one phone call has 200 hundred new reefer units On his property a week later.
    Now he's coming after you

Peace my friend. I worry about the kids going into crap like lease purchase, stuff like that. The work is there, you just know how to work. It's something that's not being taught.
