Hi everyone, I am an owner operator based out of Seattle, WA and I have been driving since 17 years. One thing we all can agree to is working long hours and sometime not having enough time to sleep just drains your energy level which leads to various health problems. I see my fellow truckers filling up jugs of fountain drinks to get them through the day. Majority of snacks that I see at truck stops are't ideal for our lifestyle. Driving a truck is not a job but a lifestyle and in order to maintain our lifestyle in a positive way it's so important for us to pay attention to what goes into our body. And there aren't enough healthy snacks, drinks or protein bars that fits our lifestyle. Everything is loaded with fat and other bad ingredients that truckers should not be eating. Sometimes excessive use of caffeine can be harmful as well.
So I have decided to starting a supplement company which will be in favor of trucker's lifestyle. Something that is just dedicated to truck drivers. Name of the brand, packaging design and everything will be dedicated to truckers to support my brothers and sisters in their journey. I am thinking to get this thing going with a product which will help truckers with a healthy start to their day or even when they are on the move. After that I am thinking to expand into all different kinds of products( snacks, protein bars, protein shakes, Vitamins, supplements to help with immune system and much more) but everything will be made specifically for truckers. With having their lifestyle in mind and what fits it best.
I would love to know everyone's thoughts on this that what you guys think, your honest comment/feedback will help me to move forward with more excitement. I wanna hear does this sound like something that interests you guys? A brand which is just dedicated to truckers :)

I buy at A local health food store, lots of protein bars already at the truckstop, but I wish you well, maybe a protein, energy boosting, smooth stand

I read labels because of dietary restrictions. A main ingredient in protein bars that causes weight problems and other lifestyle diseases (cancer) is refined sugar. The ones that don't have sugar have a lot of soy which is packed with estrogen and has been suspected of causing man boobs. If the dont say sugar they use other words that are the same thing like sucrose.

If you were to offer something that tastes good like what Cliff puts out without the crap they put in I'd be interested.

I have made the note of that and going to tell the Formulator to make sure we can fix that problem. Can you do me a favor and follow the fb page that I just started? I wanna document the whole journey, it’d be nice to have you there and I’d appreciate that. Here is the link-

OP, I’m a year in a half into trucking and I was into pretty serious weight lifting and a healthy lifestyle prior to going into trucking. I didn’t fit the bill of the average truck driver by any stretch. What I found though, having been on the road for a year and a half....it’s really not the diet that’s so bad it’s the lack of exercise and opportunities to exercise properly. I had ideas in my head that I would get out and go for hikes and walks. And yes technically I can get out and walk laps around the truckstop, but weightlifting? That’s completely out. I eat pretty healthy but I still gain weight. And there’s a different kind of tired from driving all day. It’s different than physical work. When you’re done driving for a long day you feel like someone drain the life out of you. The trucking Industry doesn’t need to just address this problem from a supplement as you’re suggesting......there has to be more options for exercise. And no putting an elliptical trainer in the back room of a Loves somewhere does not count. We need access to Gyms. That we can actually park and go inside and work out like a normal person. Supplements Are nice, I’m as well refined and supplements and nutrition is anybody out there but my point is it doesn’t matter. We need to be able to exercise.

Kevin Rutherford has a whole show on Satellite radio about eating healthy food for truckers. Plus stuff we can get that's good to eat. He goes for the Keto stuff basically bit their are other things we can eat or drink.

ZEVIA soda is sugar free and no carbohydrates. It actually pretty good soda

paleovalley make grass feed and grass finished beef sticks that have only good stuff in them. No refrigeration needed.

If just have to have bread. Their is Almond flour bread is crazy expensive but you can it and it healthy. Your better off giving up breads

People can get Avocado Oil mayonnaise but not cheap stuff that tries to trick people you need the real deal like Sir Kensington but it taste a little different then what people are used to
