At least there is a place for the flip flop/wannabe club when they fail. They will always have a place to go

There gonna be a crap load of new wannabes. When people lose their jobs, where do they go? In trucking.
In 2009 I did not know a single Eastern European working in trucking, everyone was involved in some kind of construction, car repairing, maintenance, e.t.c. Now 90% of those people are in trucking (including me), because their jobs disappeared back then. I never ever dreamed of being a truck driver and here I am.

Now there wont be a new wave of Eastern Europeans. Borders forass immigration closed over 15 years ago. However, there might be tons of Mexicans, Indians or whatever else joining the game, who are now not in trucking, because they are doing something else.

Don't forget about average American Joe. If his $50k job disappears, he will be signing up to a Mega lease purchase deal and post YouTube videos on how to overcome the crisis and own your own truck.

Keep dreaming, cheap 1099 outfits and Megas are not going anywhere. Good proper people, who do everything by the law, those will be hurting the most

Even when the economy is strong there are a lot of trucking company bankruptcies. Trucking is a bottom feeder economic proposal in the good times when the bad times hit it just speeds up clearing the deadwood.

I don’t think you are. My personal definition is the chump who goes to mega for 6 months then sees dollar signs and does a LP thinking he’s got it made. I mean no real exp

If your lucky you'll live in a truck for 6 months eating noodles and wieners while sitting 48 hrs in a truck stop while your dispatcher loses his mind and forgets your home time and loses track of your truck . That's if your lucky . If your unlucky your CDL wont be worth much in a couple of months . Either way its gonna be Fubar. Unless are leaders get ppl back to work this is gonna suck .
