I’m a barefoot or socks guy with a pair of slip on Merrill’s close at hand.

Depends on what I expect to do that day. If doing a delivery or pickup, steel toed workboots (company requirements). If only driving, then hiking boots. Good comfort and control while driving, good stability, support, and traction while outside, and waterproofing for puddles, mud, snow, etc.
