How feasible is this? pu sat by noon in Kansas City MO or similar, drive ~1850 miles, deliver to oakland port by Mon 6pm. backhaul wine, (or empty container) and be back in KC by wed eve. 3700 miles in 5 days, that's 740 miles per day for 5 days. not including time at port and reload. truck is set at 72 mph.

also can you park for night at oakland port? and is there no idling in CA? what do you in winter and summer? freeze and boil?

    Upinsmoke and truckdriver31 Thank this.

wont work. you cant avg 67mph. you can get a speeding ticket on your logs like that. even running 68-70mph wont yield but maybe 52-55mph avg and a very small maybe 62mph. you need to build the trip with a avg of 50mph. include 10 hour breaks.

yeah, but not in 15 years. and i've never delivered to a CA port. In CA they don't let you idle and there's no place to park for the night?

Appreciate that. think i'm going to turn it down. i wouldn't mind doing it in 7 days but if they want me picking up every sat and delivering every mon then forget it.

You can Idle truck in California if you have emissions truck. They even have a sticker on truck saying to California certified.

If you have a light load you can go 75 mph most of the way the speed limit. But you have to get thru Wyoming and that could be tough if they have any high wind warning. Probably won't make on ELD
