I need to drive from Texas to Maine, in a 4 wheeler. Are there any problems driving thru states?

I didn’t think it would be a big deal but someone made mention that there may be problems, so...I was just wondering if the law was pulling people over with out of state plates, or checking you at state line, questioning you about being essential business and such or is driving, business as usual. I know big trucks are essential.
The reason I ask is I just don’t want to get hung up somewhere for quarantine far from home.
I’ll be traveling straight thru from; Texas to Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Rode Island, Mass, New Hampshire, Maine... about 1900 miles.

thanks for any input, good or bad.

Because most other cars are at home you will find easy driving most of the way up there?

you "could" run into being pulled into a scale or rest stop as you travel the highway across state lines. They were doing that coming into FL and TX. Really depends on the given state. But I suspect if you tell them you are driving straight through they won't need much from you. It is those staying in the state they are worried about.

You're talking about the guys post in his thread that I called BS on.

Until I see real proof of someone stopping for a road block and police turning them around, I'm sticking with BS.

No hotels or anything for you in Arkansas. By Order of Governor, you cannot as out of state traveler rent a room anywhere in Arkansas. So be on your way across the state straight through.

Forget the state parks and no overnight camping. That has also ordered by Gov last week due to excessive abuse by other states and their people seeking to escape lock down this month coming over into Arkansas to do it. And bring the virus in as well from known hotspots by license plates.

We are otherwise functioning. Be prepared to wait at walmart or anything like that at the door hour or more. Its pretty restrictive for everything to max of 10 souls inside a building.

If you run a fever or cough or other symptoms above 99.9 you are going to find yourself in quarantine pretty quickly.

    That reminds me.

Do not go into Maryland. I have family there and they have roving wolfpacks intercepting people at random as they travel on Maryland roads to question and intercept any possible abusers.

Since you are in a 4 wheeler, i think i would run up 81 to 84 to 90 to 290 to 495 to 95 thus avoiding NYC area and less traffic. Haven't heard of any of those states on that route stopping out of state cars. And if you are stopped, telling them you are just passing thru shouldn't cause any problems. Be safe in tour trip.

Thank you all for the input, we have a little summer place up there that I have to do some work on. Fortunately I have a buddy in Knoxville to spend a night with and then drive on in.
