Hmmm, ok....... whatever you got to tell yourself so you can sleep at night is alright with me.
Don't know what's gotten into me, I'm feeling rather ornery today. -
I wouldn't buy much of anything off copart unless I just needed parts.

LMAO. I was thinking that it was from him, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up for me. -
I think you can. First of all, there's a company near me, called Truck Services. If you PM me, I can give you a phone number. They're out of Grand Rapids, MI..but really, traveling to another state to buy a truck isnt unreasonable if the price is right. I'm not sure exactly what sort of business they are, I've never been there, but I've just called them...but I know they work on trucks and are a truck junkyard and sell trucks. They told me that their lowest prices are $6000, that they are good running trucks, and that anything that wont sell for $6000 will get parted out and make them $6000 in parts. So, you might want to check them out.
Also, I almost bought a truck about 6 months ago. I posted on craigslist saying I was looking to pay around $3000 for an old truck with electrical problems. I'm really good with electrical, and I figured I'd end up with some old cab over in excellent running condition, that needed to be completely rewired. But I was offered a 1991 Volvo conventional flat top configured as a mobile home toter (hydraulic ball hitch and tool boxes where the fifth wheel goes) for $2500...not much wrong with it. To pass the safety inspection (and the sticker was expired, which is why it was off the road...the guy told me there wasnt much mobile home "freight" at the time and he was sick of looking at it), it needed an air tank (but it would have held air fine enough to drive it home to fix it, you just couldnt shut it off and expect it to hold air for more than 15 minutes), and it needed a fuel tank strap. I could've gotten both parts at Truck Services for cheap and put them on myself, I'm sure. It also needed a drivers seat, mounts were slightly messed up. And it would've needed tires within a year. But other than that, there was NOTHING I could see wrong with it that mattered. at all. Not even a burnt out bulb. However, I did not test drive it because it was at the end of a long dirt driveway, and there had been heavy rain recently, and we both agreed there was no way it was moving anywhere. But the engine ran great. Anyway, to get a salvaged air slide fifth wheel (it had all the mounts and switches and everything already), i was quoted $300 at Truck Services...without installation. I figure for $3500 i would have had a truck in great condition. Also, it had millions upon millions of miles, but I was told it only had 400k since the last rebuild. Who knows.
I'm sure you can find a deal like that. Also, last night i was looking at "Indiana auto/rv", which also lists big trucks...there was a 1982 cabover in there for $4000, with nothing wrong with it supposdly. So...I'm sure you'll find one if you look in odd places like this. By the way, I did not buy that truck because I did not have the money.
