Heat warped hubs

The only thing I can think of if you don’t want to replace or have it cut is to steel one off your buddies truck in the middle of the night while he is sleeping. Either that or just back that slack adjuster off all the way so you don’t use that bad drum. Hope this helps

Do you suspect your steer tire drums where the steering wheel shakes? Or is it more in your seat from the rear drums

 

This is a tough one. I don’t cheap out on front drums and after a months of use, they seem to develop high spots when jacked up and rotating. The rears, I buy cheap drums and they always develop little cracks and high spots but nothing noticeable when braking. Maybe yours is severe enough becuase it was a company truck where drivers don’t downshift and use jakes and do hard long stops. Why do they do this, becuase they are lazy and don’t have to pay for the brakes or replace them.

 

I would take it back to where you bought it from and tell them to replace the drum/drums.

 

The bobtail valve makes alot of the air go to ft. brakes when towing two other truck 0n top of it so taking off ft. drum that you found, and ck that it was on hub centered, then put it back on being sure that its centered on hub this time, then try it out?

 

You could pull the wheels off and chew I for any rust or contaminants beetween mating surfaces. Also, I invested in a set of these pins which I think work excellent.
