The shark was painted on the bridge in hopes that trucks would take notice and stop smashing info it. They obviously underestimated the level of stupidity of some drivers.

Just beware apps can miss it too. Headed north thru lebabon TN for my one and only time up 231 i come to a construction sign.. "11ft bridge ahead"
I never saw it and highly doubt there was a turnaround. Had a mile of cars behind me and sweatin bullets as my phone died. Yanked it onto africa road and got lucky that i fit thru the neighborhood to 141. I called truckerpath and told them about the bridge. Theyve never added a clearance marker there. -
I used to have book that showed every low underpass in the U.S., but that was many years ago, don't know if they still print it. I'll look and see if I still have it and try to get a name, although it's likely no longer accurate I'm sure.
MA & No. Jersey were notorious for low underpasses back in the day, most were under RR tracks....Numb Thanks this. -
That being said, I’m afraid to say that AllStays Truck & Travel and Trucker Path together may have a better list of low clearances than a trucker atlas.
On Trucker Path, if you find a discrepancy or want to add something, you have to go through the proper channels to get it to happen. There’s a way to do it through their app, although now it looks complicated. I stopped reporting discrepancies because of it, but I’m sure there are some truckers out there who still do report.Attached Files:
