What's your take on the " top pay certified carrier" award ? Do you think it's politics, or the real deal? Screenshot_20200416-195914.png

I think it’s a bunch of propaganda BS~used to work for a company that had a outside data gathering company do a study that certified them as a top pay carrier when in actuality they weren’t. They just used the certification to use in the recruiting process. You see that slogan plastered on the side of some of these carriers and research them on TTR and they’re some of the worst paying companies.

Total scam. I make a little over $30/hr. driving dedicated. I guarantee that's more than any, "top pay certified carrier" pays and SURPRISE - I don't work for a, "top pay certified carrier". Basically, less than 10% of carriers actually pay well and know how to take care of their drivers. They rarely advertise because they don't have to. Their turnover is low and word of mouth gives them more applicants than they need.

The other 92% look at drivers as suckers who'll put up with anything. Their annual turnover is at or over 100%. It's always about shortcuts. They know their pay isn't competitive so they offer signing bonuses to lure in new drivers instead of just raising their pay scales because then they would have to pay Joe more too. He's a loyal employee and a hard worker sure, but they're getting him to work cheap because he's too loyal to shop around for a new job. Why raise his pay when they can keep exploiting him and just give new hires a signing bonus? These companies are always advertising for new drivers because their drivers figure out the schemes and scams and quit. If you see a drivers wanted ad on the back of a trailer RUN - they're not only replacing the drivers they ripped off they're too cheap to pay for advertising!

if it is something the carriers pay for, then it's paid advertisement.

much like the BBB, if you are a member, you get free recognition in the weekly or monthly consumer magazines.

ever notice, NON member companies being advertised in a BBB newsletter?

Here’s the best advice I can give you:
Believe none of what you hear and a 1/4 of what you see

ATS trucking advertises the average driver making $85000 a year and the average cpm is 65 . That would mean doing 2500 miles for 52 weeks to make that . Now we all know that open deck isn't going to run 2500 miles every week honestly most average 1900-2200 a week let alone subtracted hometime. So it's just something to think about , most companies probably pull that average driver earnings figure out of thin air

I bet you I can make a pretty sticker for an old beat-up Piece of #### car and say its the best car in the world and trying to convince you no need look under the hood for a lack of an engine. And if you act now you can have some stripes for $1000 extra but only I will only spend $30 put there and less then 10 mins.

All it is a bunch crap they trying to feed you.

I am certain there's always a sucker who will take that in 100%
