I would keep track of the wires and disconnect them at the thermostat and fire up the breaker again and see if it is still coming on.

If the unit sits outside maybe something is wet and dead across the leads . Low voltage doesn’t take much to conduct.

If nothing out there disconnect those leads also and flip breaker and see if it still comes on.

I don’t know what they call that little transformer relay thing that controls the heat and ac on the unit but I’ve had to replaced those before also.

Diid you by anychance drive a nail or two in the wall? Or perhaps the wife did? There is a good chance that nail is lodged in the wire that activates the furnace

I always had to go into town and work for my dad during the summer even though we were staying out at the Lake

Dad always hung onto my pay but he would flip me 20 -30 bucks at a time to take out our twin small block 26 foot cigarette boat for a ride after we got back to the Lake

I was 12 and it was 1976 and gas was 60 cents a gallon on the water.

He would hand me my money and Say I’ll see you in an hour .

Twin small block Chevies are thirsty turning 5000.

In other news. I recently acquired a laserjet printer from Walmart. I am used to owning inkjet printers that after you tell the computer to print, it takes a while. I told this thing to print and peteweeeeee! It was done! No more dried out ink cartridges!

Have 3 customers in that area, one of them told me that an article in the local paper said the government fees they paid just to get permits to build was almost 20 million.

That seems too much to ever turn a profit.

That was the claim. Then it is California.
Riverside county is expensive for anything.
