Yes. I’m lucky. Not hurting but that doesn’t mean I’m enjoying this.

 

Well... my banker just called me and kindly explained I’d be a moron to not apply for PPP. He said the big banks already have billions preloaded to where all they have to do is hit a button soon as congress passes it. He said to get the paperwork in today and he still can’t guarantee anything. He said that people that bank with him with very very large bank accounts have applied and been accepted and not to feel too prideful and make a poor decision. He said it’s for companies exactly like mine and as much as I pay in taxes to not worry about it.

So, here I am today. I’ll be filling out and submitting for government “help”. Doesn’t look too bad with seeing people take a dollar per mile to the east coast.

Do whatever you have to do to survive this crisis. None of us really know what the world will look like over the next couple of years and the longer you can survive the better for you and your employees. At least we have this program available, something many countries don't have. I'm not applying for it because I don't have to, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it if I had a larger company and employees.

I contacted my insurance carrier yesterday to see if they were making any kind of accommodations for carriers right now, and all they offered was to suspend the coverage until it's needed again, and if suspended more than 30 days they would have to notify the feds about the lack of insurance for my authority. I said thanks for nothing.
