I've had the levelling valve go bad. It let air into the bags but would not let air out. So as I went down the highway the suspension got higher until the u-joints started to make a noise.

Your leveling valve airs up all 4 bags equally.

Look at your frame. Unless those frame rails are 100% perfectly parallel to the road, the bags on the drive axles will never 100% match in height.

    4 possible answers:

It came from the factory that way and you never noticed before.

    Ride height is too high.

Front end is lowered (smaller diameter steer tires installed, sagged/broken front springs, wrong spacers under front springs, wrong replacement springs on the steer axle etc).

Could possibly be a sagged pair of springs on a drive axle too.

To start with, I'd be verifying the ride height at the steer axle is correct. I'd even park on a flat and level surface and measure the distance from bottom of frame to the ground at the front and rear of the truck. If frame is very close to level, I'd be looking at drive axle springs (assuming Airliner suspension). If frame is lower at the front of the truck, I'd be checking out the steer axle suspension.

Is bottom of bag tilting? Air Liner is bad about having loose/stretched u-bolts.
