So, I'm sitting there this morning, minding my own business, enjoying my breakfast burrito in the parking lot of a local drive-thru taco & burrito business.
Can't go inside, because as we all know I might catch Covid-19 and die, well, that's what our esteemed Governor, Kate Brown, has declared in our wonderful state of Oregon!
No No! That burrito business is quasi-non-essential, and as such, you can eat your burrito, handed to you by preparers not wearing masks or even practicing "social distancing", in the parking, but GOD forbid if you go inside and sit down 6' feet away from someone else while pouring that taco sauce out onto the scrumptious breakfast burrito! You might kill someone!
Anyways, as I said, I'm sitting there minding my own business, when I look across the street and witness folks walking into and out of a local recreational marijuana dispensary. You see, in Oregon, our esteemed Governor has deemed pot shops as "essential" business.
I witnessed older, younger, skinny & fat folks walking in and out in a steady stream of business! Heck, I even saw an old lady throwing her burning cigarette she was puffing onto the ground and stomp it out before she walked in!
But here's the kicker. The old people weren't wearing masks, but the Millennials were! LOL

Nicely told story. Faulknerian. Set in Oregon...perhaps a rural county (?). With all this available home time now, maybe you should consider to take onto higher level. It could be a nice piece of history in years to come. Not too many, these days, are writing about ordinary American life.

Just 10 minutes drive from where I am at is a legalized pot shop. I never tried pot...
don't know if that is good or not. so...maybe I should see how that works on me. But there is that drug consortium...what if they summon me, after I try?

For me, it ain't all it's cracked up to be. Even stuff with over 30% THC levels. One of my son's prefers high level CBD (medical hemp) over high level pot.
