Whoever sees all of the expense that is in this business that certainly doesn't motivate them to pay less. -
You’re right, transparency would be perfect and fix everything and every carrier would be successful without those evil brokers taking their money because surely no other broker would pose as a carrier to get the rate on a big contract.
You guys ever step back and think maybe not everyone who buys a truck deserves to stay in business if they’re only a truck driver and not a business person?PPDCT, FoolsErrand, Deere hunter and 6 others Thank this. -
I am of an opinion that in order to stay in any business, everyone needs to do what's good for them and take a warm piss over what others think. And that's how it works in real life. Lobbying, underacting rates, circumventing laws is all too common.
Hoping for market attrition to eliminate overcapacity any time soon is a pipe dream. With all this unemployment now and what's worse, lots of $10-15 per hour jobs gone forever, you'll see more people wanting to drive trucks. As soon as the rates hit 2.00 average the reemergence of stand still mode carriers will push the rates right back. -

you may want to learn history and it may help you to understand better, if we continue doing business the way you think business should be done . -
