Truck abandonment

Ask yourself.

If I was the owner of the company - did the driver do the right thing?

 

Did you get paid for training and/ or orientation, if not you never worked for them. How do you know they filed a DAC report on you.

 

Next company ran his record.

Guessing he didn't get the job.

 

Why would u do that. If ur gonna quit then quit. Why accept a dispatch and then quit and waste everybodies time. ? If u understood how much coordination it takes to move even just one load u would not do such a dumb thing

 

Does the truck have Elog or cameras that prove you didn't abandon the truck somewhere else?

 

Oh Oh, one post hasn't been back. Starting to smell fishy.

 

If you knew you were going to quit why did you hook to the load? Also, they didn't lie. You abandoned their load on the yard.

 

Face the fact, you made a stupid decision. Hope you can use better judgement when you explain the situation to DAC....,,

 

Let me explain this. Company didn’t lie.

if you moved the truck from it’s original parking spot and did not return it back to its original parking spot before you quit then that is abandonment.

simple: you screwed up.

now comes the hard part, that is paying for your mistakes.
