I already had my dot and mc. I have 16 years in the trucking business just not real up to date on this particular venture. Our direct bank contacts is what is making this happen. Otherwise I wouldn't be going through all this bs

I have been a repossessor for over 35 years. Now we transport and a few years back ceased repossession activities.

I guess I have to ask, what kind of rates are you looking for, hoping for on a Driveaway that you think will justify those types of insurance costs??? What I am getting at is Driveaway for large/heavy vehicles like Brian transports is the only way as most of his stuff can not be hauled, but to Driveaway a single car, van, or truck, I just really can't see it??

From what I'm seeing the rates are anywhere from $1.60-3 a mile depending on commodities and permits needed

I see stuff driven away that very easily could be hauled on a trailer and probably should be to keep the liability down and delivery miles off of whatever it is. I guess the beancounters figured out how to do it the cheapest though.

Sometimes hauling takes longer or wouldn't pay what it should. A standard mid rise should pay 2-2.50 but Drive-Away would be 1.60 or so. Plus next day service it's tough to beat. Now with today's #### show someone would haul it for 1.50 probably....

What it should pay and what the going rate is are two different things, your numbers on hauling are WAY off, I compete with a Driveaway service for one of my customers on vehicles that are around 25' long, 10' tall and roughly 10,000, I can tell you their driveaway rate is UNDER the 1.60 you are quoting for a van, jus sayin. What I am afraid of for you is you are going to spend your time and money getting this all up and running, and someone else is going to come in and underbid you, not trying to be negative, but realistic?
