Just be sure to verify the dimensions for where you want it. They can be quite long. I got my AIMS from theinverterstore.com and it was pretty good, at a price. It did pop a blade fuse on the inside at some point (kind of difficult to get to). Not using it anymore due to the new truck having an Eaton inverter installed with wall plugs. That, I can say with certainty, is a revolution in convenience.

my last 3000 aims popped after 4 months of use, have a 3000 watt Duracell now and it can barely keep up with my microwave, I’d like to find a better one

Did you open up the AIMS to check the fuses? They're standard automotive blade types.

Well ####. That's sucks. They're kind of the only option for workable units under $1000 it seems.

    A 2 gauge? For a 3kw inverter?
I would think it needs a 4/0 gauge, or maybe a 3/0 gauge if the run is short.

    86scotty, HoneyBadger67 and Roberts450 Thank this.
