    I’d rather use a portapotty than having to go under the trailer lmao. Keep the portapotty OP

    It does not have to be off a major highway .what you should be looking into is how many trucks are in that city or town ? How many trucking companies ?that is what matters since it will be for storage .so aim at metropolitan areas where parking is an issue .wherever there are trucking companies there will be owner operators and small fleet that may use your service .just my 2 cents.

    That's a great point. I don't want to overbook spots like the airlines overbook seats leaving you waiting for the next flight. The plan would be to assign a specific spot to that driver and it would be his until he decides to cancel.

    Good idea on the curb bumpers. We had thought about placing some sort of markers along the fence line that are spaced 12' apart. I visited a lot over the weekend where they have reflectors similar to mile markers running up the fence line that are spaced 12' apart so when the driver is backing in he is able to see in either mirror if he is within the reflectors on the fence line or not. From what I saw with roughly 100 trucks, each truck was within the 12' perimeter. Thoughts?

    We will definitely have a porta-john on site that will get serviced weekly.

    The plan is to scale these as time goes on and I agree with the hookups. The further north we go the higher the demand will be. We are currently in South Texas but I grew up in South Dakota so I can relate to having to plug in at night.

    All great points.
    Although the first lot will be in South Texas, we will be adding hookups for the drivers to plug into at night the further north we go. I grew up in South Dakota and North Dakota so I can relate to the harsh winters.
    We also wont be ones to turn down cash or a check but are looking at ways to accommodate all drivers.

    Great thoughts! We would have to charge accordingly and could likely use the back peninsula for the bobtails, cars etc.

    The feedback has been encouraging and everyone has made some great points for us to consider. Very much appreciated!!

    My next question is regarding the distance required to safely have trucks in the lot.

    So two parts here;
    1. Black Arrow: If a truck pulled in, and drove to the back of the lot and backed into the blue spots on the south end how wide would it need to be for him to safely back in and turn around? Would 36' wide by 75' long be enough? Each slot is 12' wide by 75' long.
    2. Assuming the green slots are trucks and all slots have trucks, we estimate 81ft from front bumper to front bumper when parked. Would 81' between you and the truck across from you allow enough space to pull out and leave the lot without your trailer hitting the truck parked next to you?
