However - the quick connect brackets are a go.
Yes - the rookie rods are going back on. Hate if you will.
The journey begins - purchased a truck.

That said, nobody beats Raney's customer support and service. I've never had an issue with an order, and when a led starts going bad, it's as simple as a email to customer service, snap a couple of pics, and my replacements are on the way. In fact they replaced my aftermarket headlights over 5 times with no hassle other than the fact I got sick of replacing headlights and bought a OE set from Peterbilt haha.
The guys by the Richmond, IN Petro used to be really good, but I haven't shopped there for a long time.blairandgretchen and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Looks like one of those lit up bumpers that make me think the sun is coming up when the pass me at night.
Rookie rod are needed when maneuvering around a crowded obstacle course at a job site.Last edited: May 13, 2020

I like the look of rookie rods.... reminds me of the orange flags that all the neighbor kids had to put on their bicycles.

At least with your hood you could kinda see what was out there by the length of your hood .
Stupid Western star 3900 SB I drove had a mile of hood and bumper in front that you couldn't judge because it dropped off.
I was all worried about maneuvering my new to me 72 inch bunk international 9300 compared to my 60 inch bunk western star 3900sb
Unbelievably their the exact same wheelbase except the western star SB has 18 more inches of length in front of the front wheels than the international hood.
And you should see some of the stupid maneuvers we have to do to get into some of these old dairies we had to deliver to that were originally built for old straight trucks.
One in particular had a 10' door that you had to lineup by jumping the curb and sidewalk across the street with your bumper inches from the historic Churches irreplaceable brick.
Once I figured it out I enjoyed the look on rookies faces after they failed their 1st attempt, as I cautiously watched their bumper not engage the church brick.
I would have gladly installed Rookie rods on my company truck but all at work would have Laughed me out of the yard. .
My personal truck if I choose to Run it is getting them for Sure. Cheap insurance.Last edited: May 14, 2020
