I have decided to join the fold. I have been doing my research and found out that I can not put the rig in my driveway or yard. It's a zoning thing. Any one on here have this problem? If so how do you deal with it..??? HELP........ I want to drive...........................

Your use of periods will not make this seem more urgent than it really is. It depends on a lot of things. Some places have their own yard and you'll never take a truck home. Others you'll have to find a safe place to park. I used to park at a closed restaurant after getting permission from the owner.

Your question is really vague for all the different scenarios that could happen

Most of the guys I know that can't park a truck at their home have a local spot where it's legal that they worked out a deal with.

    Strike up a deal -

In my situation in the semi rural, truck fits in my shop.

For 2 trailers - I store them in a fenced yard, a quarter mile down the road, on the frontage road.

My payment? Brush hog and weed eat their yard. Fenced and secure.

Some pay to park at a location, that way you always have a parking spot. Some towns have a gravel lot for trucks.

Just start looking around you. Parking won't be hard to find. Trucking companies, storage centers, truck dealers, anything. Your company may require the lot to have a gate and for you to present a lease agreement or written permission.

Parking the truck at home is a pain in the bass unless you live out in the country. It also means you have to sit around a truck stop waiting for maintenance instead of having truck serviced during your home time. I would not choose to work for a company like that. It's better to leave truck at the company yard, if you work for a good company.

New drivers think parking at home will save them from having a second car forbthe family. To me parkingvat home causes more problems than it solves. Move to where the job is.

I was thinking of using my home only on the 34 hour resets if possible so I could save a little time. I have plenty room with 11 acres but would need to set down some gravel. Driving on this wet Missouri Grass is worse than Ice Truckers. I would not want to always park at home. Better to let the yard service truck or leave there for a few days.

You may look for a place that has RV parking.
