Does anyone have an idea of how many there are on one

Anywhere there is something that moves, almost. Front suspension and steering. All brakes, one on slack adjuster and at least one on S-cam bushing. That's a start

The most missed ones are usually:
The clutch shafts. One on each side of the bellhousing.
    The through out bearing.
Steering and seat fittings in the cab.
Clutch Z bar in front of fire wall above frame.
Greasable fan hubs and steering pitman shafts require limited lubrication.
Some 5th wheels have fittings covered with muck.

    Coffey Thanks this.

All depends on age, configuration. But manual trans, greaseable slacks, scams with fifth wheel pivots 38 zerks.

    Coffey Thanks this.
