That's piss poor. You'll never get a yard horse to say anything, they'll load it on the steel, you have to find out who dropped that wagon. Payback is a #####. Besides, most would have caught it. Pretty hard to pull something "down the road" with 3 flat tires.
How often do you do your pre trip inspections?

These tires weren't just low. All 3 tires had the beads unseated on both sides. FLAT FLAT!! Even Meritor auto inflate can't cure that!

When I was with Landstar, I called in a trailer with a flat with the bead busted loose. Had the tire inflation system. Guy told me if I drove a couple miles at @ 25 mph it would seal again. Then I could stop at a shop at my convenience and get it fixed rather than sit there waiting on road service. I thought he was full of it but I tried it. Drove up the road a couple miles and checked. The tire was fully inflated.
D.Tibbitt and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -
It worked on the LR Outside tire, because the inside wasn't flat. Won't work with 2 flats on the same axle. Trust me, I tried. Nothing worse than waiting on road service!

I got spoiled driving my company Western Star glider with a factory rebuilt Detroit 12.7 with 275000 that was meticulously maintained by our shop.
i used to wash it every otherday inside the dairies so it got a good hood open inspection and fluid checks while washing the engine bay.
Sometimes went 5 days without opening the hood , but glance under the truck every time I walk up on the truck looking for leaks
Tire thumps and lighting checks everyday , tractor and trailer .
I m very mechanical. So eyes on the gauges, listening for odd noises , aware of different smells and vibrations.
Now my personal truck is going to get everything new under neath it before I go out otr, but will still get a lot more detailed inspections daily being the Failures are All on me now . -

Every morning or before the trip, I usually check the engine coolant, check the power steering oil and brake fluid, brake system, lighting system, check tires, tire pressure, battery. ...
However, it's not always going to check all of them, there are days when just checking important parts. -
