Bad day for one of our linehaulers. No one seriously hurt.

Neither one minded and were happy to get off their docks instead of waiting around after closing time for dispatchers to attempt to get it covered. Near daily SOP, actually had them use us more because I'd get them picked up by their close time

    Thankfully, that’s a non-issue for me since I start at 0600.

What’s the weight of the two skids on the load bars?

1200 combined. Bars good for 1100 each. There's actually a total of 12 skids on six sets of bars on that load. Sanitary wet wipes. Bottom orange stuff is crusher parts for machines like this , heavy dense stuff 2000 lbs a skid:

My luck, I’d load a bunch of stuff like that and the bars would collapse on the hundred mile hike back to the barn.

Back when my route was out 90-170 miles one way, I used to deck stuff all the time and they rode back good. I was the only driver out there so they pretty much counted on me to get everything. Never really a problem. I remember stacking small skids 3 high then decking over those. I knew my customers well so they were willing. One time I managed to fit 71 skids on a 48 foot trailer.

I loaded 80+ pallets on a 53 foot flatbed before. Tons of those small skids stacked three high... Securement was fun.
