So last week a teen found a bag of money sitting by an atm. Then he calls the police. And this week ppl run over a bag. Then put it in the back of p/u and go home. Then they call the police.

What will it be next week, someone found a bunch of gold bars on the back row of the truck stop???

i think, that money was headed for the federal reserve to be recycled. if it was, there would have been holes punched into every bill. rendering them useless

or, could have been drug money, since they were in garbage bags.

if so, i wonder how stupid the drug runners would be to go and claim it.

they gotta try something, cuz if it was drug money, we will be reading soon enough how they either got a Colombian neck-tie, or were be-headed.

if i recall, any worn out money going to the federal reserve for destruction, is transported in federal reserve canvas bags, not garbage bags.

Here's what happens to your old money

Honestly, how many of y’all, If you found $1 million in cash in trash bags would call the police?

Now I once found $1000 in a bank parking lot after walking out of the bank. I did report that and turned it over to police, Because I kept imagining it has some little old lady’s rent money. Nobody claimed it and after 30 days the police department gave it to me.

But anyone transporting around $1 million in cash in trash bags is not some little old lady going to pay her rent. I’d be more inclined to keep my mouth shut with my new found retirement. Lol just sayin

    Another article had more info:
So, the guy returned the money to someone that the money didn't belong to anyway; a dead man's granddaughter. She had no idea the money was in the furniture when she donated it. The guy that found it now has to borrow money to fix his leaking roof on his house.
