Have you checked freon level? Have you looked for leaks ? I have a 2014 with a leak for some time know, I buy freon at Walmart and it's good for a month but when it gets low it frost over and air moves slowly. My leak is located in the small radiator in front of my big radiator , when its low driving and stopping definitely effects the AC output. Come to think of it almost time for another can .

It don't matter, the problem is common with a lack of air flow across then condenser.

    ^^^^

A/C is nothing more than heat exchanging. You make the evaporator core cold, the heat removed from there is sent to the condensor core. The condensor core dissipates the heat to the atmosphere. If air can't flow through the core sufficiently, it can't remove the heat and the vents will start to blow warm air. The engine fan moves a lot of air but running 60 mph down the highway pushes a whole lot more.

I would check for obstructions as stated above but before I did much of anything I'd have the freon level checked professionally. My truck was just a little OVERcharged by some idiot (me) a year or so ago and that made it do all sorts of weird things including not cool down half the time.

That's right, overcharge does strange things but what he said is that when driving (flow through the condenser) it works great, when stopped (no air flow through the condenser) it stops shows that it starts with cleaning the condenser, radiator and cac to eliminate that component,

You say it quits, when you stop, and you once wiggled wires and it started working.Assuming you mean the blower motor. I think what’s happening, is the plug on the blower motor is bad. It was intermittent, but now is completely shot. The reason it blows going down the road is air is flowing through, and spinning fan on its own. If put on recirculate, it wouldn’t blow air at all, moving or parked. If your lucky it’s only the blower half of the plug. If not, it may be the Trucks harness side, you’ll either need to splice a new pigtail connector in, or better yet replace it properly, so your not butchering the Trucks wiring.Dont get the wires crossed up like I did, blower will run backwards, Lol.
