    There's a new Costco going up on the site of the zoned out of existence truck stop on I55 and US 30 exit at Joliet, IL.

    Seems nimby got rid of a going one there, probably about 15 years ago.


    Story City, IA stopped one, that went to a better location one exit away on I35 in central Iowa.

    I know I'm going to get pounced on for this but... I see the point. I wouldn't want a truck stop near my house either. Also to be honest I don't like using truck stops near residential areas because of all the 4 wheeled traffic.

    All that empty land out in Buckeye. If they would just make their parking lots twice as big as they normally do. you might be able to actually find a spot there.
