You suppose to have one way ore another "manual" option where truck will stay in a gear , had that in Volvo Ishift, in Kenworth Ultrashift , and Freightshaker Eaton.... if you know your truck have problems selecting gear, why not drive in manual till you will gain speed????
What they teaching people nowadays...

I hear the new eat Eaton can talk to a Cummins IXS engine and I guess basically do the same thing. But just regular Eaton auto shift can do those things. That what I think nobody like them because it does not work very good.Truckermania Thanks this. -
I much rather have a manual anyways, shifting gives me something to do and its somewhat of a challenge. Shifting takes skill and an autoshift dumbs down the job. The driver has much less control with the autoshift.
