Ouch. Let me slam the hood down to show I have that gentle touch! Lol.
The chips under the door is common and from the seat belts hitting the paint. Did that on my ‘65 not to long after I painted it. Mad.
Over half the trunk lids on ‘64-‘65’s are all like that. My ‘65 is like that on borh sides and has an 1/2 arch in the back. They never sealed on the gasket good and that is why the trunks would get wet and rot. I had to double gasket it. A well known Pontiac historian who has since passed told me at the 1997 GTOAA convention that the plant that stamped the lids was always striking and in labor disputes those 2 years and put out some lousy product so the fit and finish was bad. Some of the ‘65 hoods were stamped and rolled on the front lips bad too so they had more of a gap with the grill on the outer edges next to the fenders. Some as much as 3/4 inch like mine. Mine was a Kansas City, Kansas built one and supposedly they were considered the worst in fit and finish.tommymonza, Upinsmoke and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

Personally, I like the R32 the best.
Going by the styling trends of it's time it blended in with lesser contemporary vehicles. This was a car that could take out the boss's Porsche on a back road but blend in with the Camrys in the company lot so as not to draw attention.
Not quite a sleeper, but definitely much more subdued in execution.

*Translation:GODZILLA!!!!(nickname for the Nissan Skyline first coined by the Australians because like the Japanese monster of yore,it destroyed everything in its path-competition wise). R32s are nice and with the 25 year import restriction lifted on them they’re starting to pop-up stateside. I wouldn’t mind getting an R33 or R34 myself.Upinsmoke Thanks this.
