Sounds like he was going slow at a shipper or maybe a Truck stop, got distracted and then tapped a brick wall. Thats why its not Dot reportable. Go on Craigslist and you'll probably find a job. Mega probably wont hire ya except maybe western express.

How far do you look down the road while driving? You hit the wall looking down "for a second" because you weren't keeping proper situational awareness. That's poor driving.

If your CDL is valid you can probably work for a Driver Leasing company. That is a "temp service" that supplies drivers to other trucking companies. They usually take a cut of the pay the trucking company would pay you. Say ABC Trucking pays their drivers $20/hr. The driver leasing company pays you $18/hr. My last employer used 2 DL companies to make up the shrtage of drivers they had.

I think one company was Driver Solutions. I forget other names. Do an internet search for such companies in your area.

When you are anywhere near obstacles or traffic you have to pay attention to driving, no exceptions. Having a CDL means you have to stop driving like a clueless, distracted 4-wheeler. You have to have no accidents, no tickets, etc. What if a surgeon only killed a few patients?

Don’t you just hate when those sneaky brick walls just jump out in front of you?? They are almost as sneaky as those mile long trains.
