Looking at Moga Transport here in CA. Running OTR no farm pickup. Reason they sound like a good fit is no hoses, won’t run me into the Pacific Northwest when chains are required. I had my second lumbar fusion and bending, twisting, lifting etc will just put stress on my back! I don’t want another surgery. Paying .48loaded .46empty, 100% paid med, dent, vision.
    Thanks for any input.

The pay is a little low for California but the paid benefits is a good deal.
Are you sure about the "no farm pickup" thing? Most of the milk haulers in our area that run line will also do pickups when they have time.

They have drivers who do that and only run, CA I would be line haul. Just like Indian, Bynum etc. Just shotgun the load.
It seems the majority are .50mile. However they pay detention and free benefits so that’s less money out of my check.

That might be alright then. Last I heard Indian River doesn't pay detention and I think that could give a guy a bad attitude after too much time waiting for unloads and washouts.
Keep us posted on how thing work out.

Moga serviced a plant I worked at in Phoenix. I think they were doing something with waste products or something from the plant back to farms. The drivers drove junk equipment, looked and acted nasty to everyone. I would make darn sure that they cann prove anything they're trying to sell you. They were basically the company you could go to if you've been fired from everywhere else.

But your position may be different. There was only a couple of trucks that serviced our plant, so these 3 or 4 guys(who knows, their turnover was pretty big) were all we ever saw.

    GreyBeardGuy Thanks this.
