...I did enough dry van in my day to know that doorswinging ain't for me. I’ve had my own horror stories to bear in various bottling plants, grocery warehouses, recycled carpet tin cans (im not sure if they were factories or something somebody made up out of old aluminum siding and some machines), cardboard, Rubbermaid facilities and other places just in the little bit of time I did run vans.
None of this is to say we don't run into issues on the flat deck side, but not NEAR to the degree van/reefer guys do. I really feel bad for you guys sometimes. At the end of the day, flat or box (or tank or parking lot), we all in this mess together.

DoubleO7 Thanks this. -
The worse receiver ever for me is Frito Lay Rosenberg TX. They tell you to drop trailer and leave the premises, took 7 hours plus to unload and not a way to contact them at all. They must be hand peeling potatoes back there.

I'm at Florida Natural Growers in Lake Wales. This is the biggest #### show I've yet to encounter as far as receivers go. I have been here since 11am for a 12pm appt. I get the call to leave the staging area to go to a dock. I get to the dock and have to wait with 2 other guys to get a door. I've now been here for 7hr 15min.and still don't have a door. Only one truck has been touched in the 2 hours that I have been back here. One of the other trucks had been here since yesterday at 5pm. I'm through with this place, I will not come back. They ship pretty fast though, in case you were wondering. Also, no facilities or food for drivers.

Maybe not the worse shipper, but going to have to say Owen Illinois out of Lexington NC will keep you waiting for a near eternity. I have a feeling receiving is not much better. Can always blame it on Corona
