I agreed to take a forklift 6 miles down the road to the main warehouse. So we strapped it in to the etrack. I drove very slow and easy. As I slowed down to make the turn to the warehouse I felt a huge BAM behind me. Of course I knew what it was. I pulled up to the dock and fortunately no real damage was done. It turns out the driver of the forklift left it in neutral. The straps by themselves weren't enough to hold it. Never underestimate the stupidity of people.

One of the most awful interactions I've ever had was with a Standard Forwarding driver.

I hope this was him so nobody innocent lost their job.

I swear, mjd, you out did yourself this time. Made a pretty good divot in the road too. Forklifts are tough. I suppose it's possible not to know, although, you'd think you'd feel that weight coming off the trailer. So many possible scenarios, I can't wait to hear them. 1), gee boss, I don't know where the forklift went?,,2) nah, you don't need to secure that forklift, the brake will hold it, we do this all the time,,or 3), hi,( at the next stop) I have the forklift you ordered,,let's hear 'em. You know, we all laugh, but years ago, without cameras, we got away with some real doozies,,one thing, the next phone call is one I wouldn't want to make.:crybaby:
