Because there’s now an additional 30 plus million Americans (that all likely didn’t feel like working) now out of work within the past 6 weeks, we can expect a lot more disrepair to come to many more of our bridges soon.

Ehh, just a random observation, but a bridge has to be able to handle at least double or more it's weight limit.

Think of it this way, it has to support that weight in all lanes of the bridge at once, and multiple times in each lane if it is long enough for multiple vehicles.

I've seen highway bridges, I think around kansas city, that have a sign saying weight limit 40-60 tons. Well, it's an 8 lane highway, what if four 35ton trucks are crossing at the same time? Obviously the bridge has to handle it.

Funny, if you or I let our trucks get into a state of disrepair due to budget (income) cuts: we get a fine and put out of service.
They tell us "you can't put a price on safety"
While government put a price on safety every day.

I've taken that bridge pulling 70,000. By the time I noticed the sign it was too late, since there is no warning before the turn. When I got to the Love's I asked the manager because I was kind of ticked off. He said he wasn't aware of it and that trucks crossed there all the time.

I crossed the one an exit east of the Loves a few days ago. It was night time and I know that little truck stop has a huge parking lot thats usually empty and it was.

No sign on the exit about the weight limit so I turned left to cross the bridge, at the corner of the bridge is a little sign that says 15T weight limit but I was already rolling 15-20 Mph loaded so I just pressed it to the floor.

Apparently this bridge can handling at least 37 tons because I survived.

None of the local Pohlease witnessed this transgression either which was a surprise considering that this is just another money grab.
