4070B has developed a shake and dribbling feeling, when approaching 65mph. Thought it was the king pins and they were bad, but drove it today and it didn’t eliminate the problem. It’s got pretty good steer tires but switched them out anyway with some other steers and it’s still is shaking/dribbling. Steering wheel as no slop in it and the truck doesn’t pull or wander. Feels like it under the driver’s floor board. Rear tires are 75% and soft. There’s no rattling or sounds when heavy braking either. I drove it with and without a trailer and it still does it. I know it’s a cab over so, I realize it’s not gonna ride like my long hood W9’s but I feel like there’s something to it.

My first go to is jack up the front end one side at a time. Put a block of wood close in front of the tire and spin the tire in reverse of normal rotation. Do that with the block centered and at an angle on both sides.

A 4070B that shakes? And a "dribbling feeling"? That's a new one for me. I don't understand what the problem is. Might be the driveshaft lost a weight. If it happened all of a sudden, I'd check the obvious. Engine or trans mount? U-joints. If you feel it in your ###, it's probably the driveline. The Transtar I drove, which was about the only cabover I liked, shook from the time I left the yard, until I returned. And 65 mph? I'm proud of you! Got any pics of the old gal?
