This one is bugging me because of the danger of shutting down while in motion. The truck during travel at 10 mph and again at 63mph. Begins to beep and "abs module" is displayed followed by "engine stop". The truck immediately shuts down. There are no fault codes and has yet to be reproduced by anyone else in the shop. The truck has been cleared to drive even though nothing has been done.

Need help with this one to ensure the truck does not repeat this in any dangerous locations.

Have them check the ABS ECU and body controller to see if there are several counts of loss of communication with engine controller. Sounds like the engine is losing ignition power and or battery power.

I'm stuck in AR with almost the same issue... Only no auto shutdown.

Are you aware of the brake fluid reservoir up top almost under windshield?

Mine had missing cap and was bone dry... Put fluid.. Waiting for 8am appt with shop.

Been sitting 18 hours now with the freakin squawking.

Do you know how to turn it off?

That little reservoir is for your hydraulic clutch. What are you trying to turn off?

    Tiger001 Thanks this.

Turn off the alarm that is squawking twice a second....

But now truck is in the shop... Looks like a short somewhere in the harness.

I will be kickin it in a Texarkana motel... Heading to red lobster for a ####tail and crab.

You can cancel the beeper from the cluster by holding up on the panel dimmer switch while also holding in the hour meter/odometer select button for about 5 seconds. The alarm will only shut off if the key is on and engine off.

I have a fleet of International 4300 and 4400 trucks I maintain. One of them, a 2007, DT466 EGR shuts down intermittently, without warning. No codes. Driving conditions vary so theres no telling what causes it. I have changed out the throttle, cleaned the intake, inspected the turbo, overhauled the CAC, replaced the valve cover gasket, done a valve adjust and inspected the injectors and pucks. After all that it ran for about 6 months before it returned. Just last week it started it's random shut downs again. Research has revealed that there was a recall on these engines for this back in 2010. The fix, a new brain and engine wiring harness. Long story short, inspect the harness VERY carefully. Look for chaffing, bare wires INSULATION and continuity. That's where the problem is.
