Between the beer flu hitting the economy, and my recent hospital visit, it has kinda pushed pause on decent available jobs from places other than another mega, there aren't that many decent places hiring that are paying better(they may be much less frustrating, but that doesn't pay the bills)...I removed most of the non-essential items from my truck once I got back on my feet after my kidney stone attack earlier this month, and I have another visit to the urologist in 10 days to see if the remaining stones that he saw on the CT scan are still treatable without going thru another lazer guided roto-rooter treatment. After that, hopefully things will be starting to pick up enough that a better opportunity will present itself...

As far as Wally-world, slip seating isn't the issue. Not sure why so many people think working there is such an improvement, you don't jump into the primo runs when you 1st start there, especially in the smaller D/C's like the one in my area. It takes a while to gain enough seniority to make good money, plus you have to deal with all their own knit-pickey rules and regulations.

After today's grocery shopping trip to the Kingsport Walmart, I have come up with a new word. Wally-rage. It's kinda like road rage except you're only pushing a shopping cart instead of a vehicle. Honestly, I wish they'd put a limited use cattle prod on the front of their carts, just to teach people some friggin manners...and also they need to install cell blockers so that people aren't mindlessly wandering around in front of the shelves running their mouths on the #### cell phone.

@supersnackbar ive been listening to Kevin Rutherford for a little more than a year now and really taking to heart his health advice, I know as truck drivers our stress levels are through the roof but we need to do our best to manage them. Stress is the silent killer, have you considered the likelihood of your recent health issues being job and stress related, if so, maybe that’s enough for you to consider more heavily some other options. Simply my opinion, it can’t be healthy to constantly be as unhappy as you are though.

I appreciate the thought, but the only health issues I have had lately was my kidney stone attack, and I don't think those come from stress. The majority of times I had my BP checked thru this whole ordeal (which was every 3 hours when I was in the hospital)including while experiencing extreme pain, my BP was within the acceptable range if I were getting a DOT physical. And another symptom of stress is an excessive body weight issue because stress causes a release a fat storage hormone called cortisol...I have actually lost right at 60 lbs since March of 2019. Another symptom of stress is insulin resistance. (Not diabetes, type 2 diabetes is a symptom of a illness called insulin resistance). My blood sugar was on the high side last year(because my diet was out of control), but to the dismay of my legal drug dealer (that's what I call general practice physicians), I now have normal blood sugar levels without medication just by drastically changing my eating habits. Stress is part of the job, no matter what company you work for, you have to just figure out how to manage it and it's affects on the body. If you were to meet me in person, you wouldn't recognize me. When not dealing with the 'wayword ways of Wylie' (or insert any other company I have complained about in the past) I am actually a quite upbeat and humorous person.

That, and we're expecting a busier than normal hurricane season. Plus, with the gradual easing of the 'stay at home' lockdowns, glazing companies are starting to restock inventory, so business is definitely picking up. I was in Laurinburg yesterday, and the security lady said they have been extremely busy this week...so Wylie better get their act together before they run off too many of us and have no experienced employees to handle the increased freight volumes. I say employees because they need more experienced loaders that know what they're doing... especially in Laurinburg. I got there yesterday morning to pick up my load that was supposed to be done Friday afternoon only to find it still in a loading bay...loaded but not secured. And the Laurinburg loaders don't work weekends I was told, so, even though I am having issues with this company, I verified the load was complete, secured it myself, and got it out of there. Mostly it wasn't because I am a loyal dedicated employees, but because this trip is over 800 miles round trip(before the end of the payroll week), and I am already pre-planned on my next load when I get empty.

@iraqralph43 his keto advice has me down nearly 50 pounds, I am thankful for that. I know he can be rather abrasive at times though.

I have opted for a lower carb, limited sugar intermittent fasting diet. I don't eat between 6 pm and 10 am except coffee or water...and I drink anywhere between 64 and 96 ounces of water or coffee a day...which is why I am confused about why I got kidney stones.
