I have a 60series In a columbia glider. I am getting fumes in the cab from my vent pipe.
Had blowby checked and it's normal, actually below normal, for a 670k miles engine. Oil samples are clean as a whistle and uses zero oil between changes.
The fumes collect under the hood and eventually make it into the cab. I dont idle a lot, but when I need to, I cant. Extending the Pope works in the summer, but will freeze up in the winter and it then blows oil out of the dipstick tube.....

So.. anybody have any experience with this guy?

Looks like it may work? If you have used one,
    how did you plumb it?
Did it freeze up in the winter?
Did it get rid of the fumes?

This don't really answer your question about the CCV filter, but have you tried turning on the manual engine fan switch.?

Might just disperse the fumes enough, especially if you bump the idle to 900 or so like detroit recommends..

Edit. I guess that doesn't help in the winter, LoL.
