Do you have anything to say about the retired cop who was beaten to death by a mob in his pawn shop? Were waiting...
Who is this super trucker?

I would go to Oakland to see friends and get stopped by the cops because I didn't look like I belonged there.
I would go to the rich area of San Jose and yup I would get pulled over because I didn't look like I belonged there.
At 3-4am on my way to work I'd get pulled over because people that look like me were usually drunk at that time.
I'd go up to talk to a cop and he'd unsnap his gun and rest his hand on it. This happened more than once.
The older you get and the more mellow the vehicle you drive the less you look like the last guy they arrested. Cops don't bother me much anymore, I've gotten boring I guess.Gearjammin' Penguin, TokyoJoe, Muddydog79 and 2 others Thank this. -
You are right, having a good lawyer makes a difference.
Yet at each stage in the process, from initial contact with police, to being charged, to being arraigned/indicted, thru pre-trial, trial, and sentencing there is a disparity between whites and blacks.
Brock Turner, white, got 6 months for rape. Jesse Bradford, black, got 3 years for shoplifting 2 dvds, a hat, and a pair of shoes from Walmart.
Imagine this scenario:
- You are at your neighbors on Sunday afternoon. You cross the street from his driveway to yours. There is no traffic.
- On the way into your house you stop at your car to retrieve an item.
- As you open the car door a police officer approaches you and accuses you of jay walking and states he will be issuing a citation.
- You are polite and respectful as you go "seriously?"
- Officer says he smells marijuana and requests you to put your hands on the hood so he can search you. You comply.
- As the officer gets to your lower back he pushes you down hard and yells "stop resisting! Comply!" as he puts you into a submission hold.
- Your wife comes onto the front porch to see what the ruckus is.
- Officer says that he is going to search the house.
- Wife objects and refuses to allow the search
- Officer tells your wife she is interfering in a police investigation and if she does not comply, she will be arrested and your kids will go to DCFS
- Wife consents to the search
- Officers find no illicit material, but find $3,000 in cash. They claim it to be drug proceeds, confiscate it thru civil forfeiture and arrest you both for money laundering.
- Despite getting Saul Goodman on the case pronto you don't get arraigned until 1600 Monday which means you can't make bail until 0900 Tuesday morning.
- You make bail and call work to explain why you were a no call no show yesterday and you won't be in until tomorrow because you have to go to Family Court to start the process of getting your kids out of the group home they were placed in. Your job tells you not to bother coming in, you're suspended while charges are pending or you're fired for being "unreliable".
- You get home and find that all of your bank accounts and credit cards are frozen. You now have no job, pending charges that make it impossible to get a job, no money to pay rent/mortgage. As your stare into the abyss you hear a knock on the door
- It's a police sergeant. He tells you all your legal problems can go away if you just agree to testify against a man you don't know.

In other words "What are the underlying causes for the behavior?" -
I know I'm pushing it with this, but this thread will probably be cut anyway, the drivers name is Bogdan Vechirko, who was acquitted of all charges, btw, and might have thought, " is how we do crowd control in old country",,,
