    My 17 is a Gen 4.
    Safe to say I don't really have a type.. :rolleyes:

    I actually like the Springfield best. Packs easy inside the waistband. Very crisp feel to it. Might also be biased, as it is the 1st handgun I ever bought, & also have the most range time with it. Feels right in my hands, ya know..? Mine's an xd 40, but you can get it in a 9 if you'd prefer.

    The 17 is my least favorite to carry. Shoots nice, less rise between rounds. Just haven't found the right way to carry it yet..

    I like sub compacts better.. if you can't tell. LoL
