Speaking of eating......tonight's meal. Honey baked ham, mac-n-cheese, and a little rabbit food with honey mustard dressing. 20200604_190117.jpg

Trying out some shocks on the truck.

Just got the trailer back from shocks, bearings in 2 positions, new shoes, drums, cams, and bushings all around last Friday. Still shakes like a mfr.

Found one blown shock so hoping they have the shocks in stock to replace them all. They are paccar numbers so its possible they are original to the truck. 15913138969655954831199095397232.jpg

Stop logs might have been FL po-dunk slang.? Fancy term for a dozen or so rectangular concrete slabs, probably 15' wide, 4' tall & 12"thick. A 20 ton wheeled crane lowers them down 1 at a time. Diver guides them down a slotted channel, stacking them one by one a top each other. Also put rubber mats between each one as they are set to help form a seal.

Once all in place, start pumping out water from the other side. As soon as the pump starts getting ahead diver tries not to get sucked to the wall, (Strong Delta P force will kill you) while stuffing more rubber, & plastic sheeting in the gaps to stop any leaks. Eventually you get them all, & the others side can be dewatered. Repairs/inspection made in dry atmosphere..

My bucket is currently set up on a 4 post system. This allows comms to topside, (radio man) & another diver in the water if diving a 2 at a time. Its weird, & only the last company I worked for used it. Set it up for their way, just never bothered to change it back to 2 wire..

2 wire is preferred by most.
The mic is default always hot, so topside listens to you all the time. Makes sure your breathing, listen to you cuss, & crab. When you ask for something, they flip a spring loaded switch & talk to you. When done it defaults back so diver mic is hot & you talk back, or they just go on listening to you work again..

That a welding/burning lens flipped up in front of the glass..

    Speaker left & right.
Mic is the black circle in the gray oral nasal mask..
No, your head is not just banging around in the fiberglass shell. There is 4 snaps, that a head cushion(snoopy) snap into.

@singlescrewshaker Thanks yet another reason I hangout here. Great group of diverse experience. I would have never know any of that. However I feel everytime I learn something new, it forces out something needed. Only so much room.

With that said. The Mrs. Had a friend over and they had Mexican takeout. Including very good tequila margaritas. Wife had three sips and didnt want hers, handing it to me. Now I don't drink these, but it was a good one. Plus I'm not into wasting beverages. Gonna sign off now. Might be watching.

Who said I had. More of a miscalculation of addition. Been working out in the heat last few days. Sounded good. Making cleaning the shop and pickup more fun.
