Has anyone experienced anything negative from a health questionnaire that a trucking company requires you fill out with your employment application to drive the truck there? Correct me if I am mistaken, but isn't it illegal for them to ask medical questions and/or require medical exam unless or until they actually make an offer of employment to you?
Sorry in advance if this should have been posted in another thread. I just assumed, that it probably isn't touched on in any other thread.
In all my 15 years of driving for mega carriers down to carriers with just two trucks, I have NEVER seen an employment application with a health questionnaire on it. Have you?

I will play devil’s advocate,,,
If they do hire you and find out that you are a diabetic or have a equilibrium problem preventing you from climbing onto a trailer. Or some other medical problems that can disqualify you. Then what?Metalicious Thanks this. -

Being diabetic should not disqualify anyone unless the are on insulin.
Shouldn’t care if it is a one year vs a two year card either.Metalicious Thanks this. -
Based on the job description, the question should read, "is there any reason that you cannot perform the duties as described in the job description?" Other wise if you pass the DOT physical, then you should be good to go.
