    2nd run in a row with tire problems. Really hate recaps at times. This one didn't blow but sure shed it's tread.
    Instead of having an easy run, may have to do a split. Not a big fan of those.

    From my experience with caps they are worth it in low weight low temp applications if well cared for and had good luck with them in my cornhusker days .
    I wouldnt run them at Morehouse cause I'm almost always heavy .
    The new Yokohama drives I bought 2 years ago have been trouble free and wearing perfect , about 70% now maybe a little less .
    I've gotten such good trade in value on pulling my tires at around 10/32s that I'll probably pull these drives off late next summer and trade them for new .
    I know owner ops and fleets that want to run a tire till you can see the air in them but i just dont think it's worth the hassle or expense of picking up nails etc and the down time in inconvenient places.
    No disposal fees on junk either .

    I work for a company that would buy new tires in the summer then they would use caps when it cooled off. They said running new caps in the summer would cause the adhesive not to work as well. This was trailer only only virgin rilubber for the tractor.
    We never bought caps on the road only new but the caps the shop had were our casings they never used casings from outside the company.

    Fleets differ from 1 truck operators in that respect, they have lots of uses for a tire ...I only have one .

    Wow ! 14 Minneapolis police officers quit and 46 took early retirement.
    In my north Minneapolis days they didnt back down from anything and you didnt farg with em .
