Still been pretty busy this way. I’m on pace for 90 hours this check. Yesterday went long due to the fact at my last stop which had two tanks one of the fittings on their tank came off. Tried screwing it back on but the pipe was just super busted. Had to find a home which happened to be across town. Then today was heading west on 94 right before 275 and a car came flying past me on my driver side ( was in the middle lane) swerved over to the right. Then went for a late swerve towards the exit, goes into the ditch then out to the exit ramp but drifted and is facing 94 again. Back into the ditch he goes out on to 94. But wait he wasn’t done yet. He goes into the ditch again before finally taking the 275 exit. It was so random , all I could do was throw on my flashers and watch the show

I think it’s pretty cute that they gave everybody curfews just so I can zip right in through to my stops but recently it’s like only the worse drivers have been out. I’ve been seeing accidents on 4 lane streetS when there’s only 8 humans outdoors in the entire city smh. Besides that everything is still everything, Between Schneider and Corrigan yesterday I did my first pump off solo, went real smooth. ( if I had to complain would say I didn’t like the fact they made do two split 1k and 6k when 3500 would’ve easily fit into both tanks or the whole 7 in one, but that’s the laziness in me. I have to tell myself slow down you get paid by the hour now haha. Speaking of which I waiting to load my final load of the night as was told to wait til about midnight when they have inventory

When I called my wife yesterday I told her the nuts have been let out of the asylum. I'm glad I wasn't imagining things. For some reason, it's never been as bad.

Another thing I’m noticing during this quarantine is that people forgot how to cook.. the lines for fast food have gotten rediculous I’m talking 20+ car lines all day long. Me personally if I see 5 cars It’s not meant for me. And the Krispy Kreme’s OMG the one by me I think is backdooring drugs... there is no way that they have a line wrapped around the building and down the street on a busy 4 lane street. But on to the bright side the big 3 are opening up soon which means more business for us. I’m already scheduled for 6 next week.

Things are back to normal for me as far as work goes. My last Check was 130 hours and this one is looking like 138, now that the big 3 are back that opened up a lot of business for us. As of next week all drivers will be back for us too. The thing I’m living about fuel is that it doesn’t even feel like I’m at work especially now that I’m familiar with just about every stop I go to

That's awesome. I'm struggling with my gig. Working graveyards is getting old. Living in a small town working graveyards is getting old. So many of these farms are just filthy and their equipment is junk. My employer bought out another company and kept their million plus mile equipment, so these raggedy trucks beat the tar out of you, when they run. The creamery itself is disgusting. They're using all their old equipment so they can stay 'grandfathered' into current USDA regulations. If they change one pump or piece of plumbing then they have to change everything. We have no fall protection for when we have to go on top of our trailers to clean and vent the trailers. The pic in the rat nest of hoses we have to deal with. Usually that area is covered in cream or milk and/or caustic because plant personnel never clean anything. I've slipped and fallen so many times that it isnt funny. There are always cows loose somewhere and we had a driver get knocked on his can when one charged and headbutted him when he was trying to roll a hose. Management just laughed about it. We had a driver get second degree burns on his legs, stomach and sides because alot of farms hook their hot water to the water hoses in the milk rooms and when the driver was climbing up the ladder of a milk tank to wash it, the sprayer popped of the hose and the hose was snaking around spraying 180° water and he got blasted. They knew about the farm doing this and they know about others that do it and none of them are supposed to. The driver told them about it and was convinced to to use his own insurance instead of filing a workmanship comp claim.

I just barely moved here in February and dont want to job hop, but I'm just about done. I just have no idea where I want to go from here. I've never not had a backup plan before, but I'm at a loss with this one as I dont know where I want to live. Portland is out of the question as its batcrap crazy and super expensive

Wow I Remember delivering to milk plants when I was on ecolab and only seen a setup like that once and that was in Wisconsin (that effing state smh). And is that white hose supposed to be black? I heard Portland was the home of the different. But man in these times I wish you well with whatever route you choose to go next. Soon as everything opens back up companies will be snatching up drivers. I couldn’t recommend the fuel industry enough. Sure I load and unload the truck but it’s really the least amount of work I’ve ever done. We got a few million mile trucks too I’m currently trying to get one myself. I’m usually the last back, and All of the new trucks are autos which I hate. Sure they’re “easier” to drive, but the trannys are stupid. Theyll get up to 9th then just go forget it’s driving for 5 secs across the intersection. Or better yet when doing a turn around it’ll shift , slow down Then down shift all for no reason. The older trucks are really well taken care of. Plus it’s a big difference in driving a cat motor vs driving a new Cummins. People tend to get out your way.

Just about seen it all as of last week, it was a nice hot sunny day and I was cruising on the highway, the part where you go straight , with no hill and no construction. There was a car rolled over and I just couldn’t understand it. No other car involved. Poor lady was crawling out the back window, hope she was alright but I’m trying to figure what manuever you must pull to roll it over smh.

Had my longest run yesterday took me about 3 hours to get there, about every 30 miles I would check the google maps and say d#%n haha, everything has been smooth for me. States still technically under lockdown so I’ve just been maxing out my hours instead of sitting at home watching tv. Also got offered a job on days not sure if I want to take it just yet as I can possibly be back to truck hopping. It would be no problen doing anything else cause I’m normally long as it got wheels type of guy, but with the fuel trailers it’s no fun finding out about issue that should’ve been written up While you’re dropping.
