This happen to a month ago! The driver of the car died but to this day my truck and trailer are still in the tow yard because the tow yard is fighting with insurance over money which puts me on downtime. If my insurance company some how manages to get my vehicle out of the tow yard then there going to make the decision to rather or not pay for the vehicle to be repaired which can take 90 to 180 days or consider it a total loss. If I have to wait 180 days which out using a truck then that's going to put me out of business even though the accident was not my fault!

Bugger. You can't get a lawyer and go after her insurance/estate for the cost of your downtime? Or at least have them pay for a rental truck in the meantime?

They taught us in school about drivers that try and intentionally get hit by trucks. Turning and hoping you roll back into them on an incline are the two most popular ways they’ll try it. I’m not really for driver facing cameras but I do think companies should start installing cameras up high and on top that show all around the entire truck. All these accidents where they deem the truck driver 10-25% responsible would be eliminated.
